Neck & Hosel Shapes
Chapter five provides a detailed look at the various shapes given to the neck and hosel, not by unbridled frustration but by design! Various anti-shank necks, swan necks, fork necks, wry necks, no necks, long necks, short necks, and others are presented.
The wooden putter shown was made in the 1890s by Charles Brand, a well-established clubmaker at Carnoustie, Scotland. The off-set neck makes this long nose style putter eminently collectible.
